If you are making plans to travel through Sacramento with your four-legged friend, then you probably want to know the best way to travel through the airport to make your trip easier on your pet. These days, it is easier than it ever has been to bring your animal along with you on a trip, but it is still a good idea to know what to expect, especially from the Sacramento Airport pet relief areas. Being prepared can make all the difference when it comes to easing your mind and soothing your pup.

Sacramento Airport Pet Relief Areas and Terminal Maps

Sacramento Airport has two pet relief areas. There is one in both Terminal A and Terminal B. Both of these areas are pre-security and outdoors. It might be unpleasant in the rain, but they should be near the entrance to the airport and well signed. There should also be plenty of lights in case you need to make use of the facilities at night. There should be bags for waste pick-up in the area. Both of these areas are surrounded by grass, so be sure to bring an extra bag in case your pet decides to go before you reach the designated area.

Terminal A – This pet relief area can be found at the eastern end of the building near the exit by the United Airlines offices. Exit the building and look for signs to direct you to the area.

Terminal B – This location can be found at the southern end of the airport. It is on the first level of the airport and well signed.

If you are traveling through Sacramento on a layover, it might be very difficult to get your pet to a relief area. You will need to call ahead and see if you can get an escort to take you and your animal out of the secured area of the airport, or speak with your desk manager at your gate to see if any arrangements can be made.
